My (Current) Content Reviewing System

Hello, sweet friends.

I wanted to discuss a little bit about content in books, and how that comes into play when I write my reviews.

As a reader who wants to read clean books, I find thorough content reviews for the stories I’m interested in reading very helpful, and I really appreciate all of the wonderful readers who sacrifice so much time to make sure we can make sure the books we’re going to read are good for our personal tastes.

However, when I find myself writing very thorough content reviews, it actually takes away from my enjoyment as a reader. Therefore, when I review a book on this site, I will summarize any content I remember, and try to put in anything that might be upsetting to readers. Hopefully, by doing this, you’ll be able to ascertain if the book you’re considering is a good fit.

(Please note: I mean absolutely no hate or judgement toward people who have different tastes in books to me. I just share about my personal comfort level, and I hope that you find your own personal level of comfort, and that you embrace that. I mean no judgement by sharing if I believe a book has too much content.)

As a general rule, if I’m recommending a book on this site, that means it was clean enough for me to read and enjoy. However, I will always try to include a note toward the bottom of my review clearly marking any content that I noted or that upset me while reading, so you can make the best decision off what you feel comfortable with. One of the great things about a community of readers is that everyone has different tastes and different opinions. No two readers are alike, and no two readers’ comfort levels are alike.

It should also be noted that most of the books I read are written for a young adult or adult audience, so that tends to be the age group for which I’m reviewing. If I review a book for children, I will try to leave a much more thorough review so you can know if its something you want your children to read.

Thank you so much for being here, and I hope that my content reviews help you determine which books you want to read. If you’re looking for more reviewers who have content reviews, I will add those links to the bottom of this page, so that you can look at their reviews to get more exact information.

Have a beautiful day, dear friends!

I’m Keira Anne (with an E)

Welcome to my little corner of this great big world wide web– which feels a little scary to type out. Since I’m here, that means I am not reading, which is actually pretty crazy. Now that we’ve acknowledged that anomaly, however, I will go back to reading. Feel free to join me as we discover a world of books!
