About

Welcome to my little book nook in this craziness we call the Internet.

It’s a wild place, isn’t it?

Well, this isn’t.

This is a place where you can sit down, and take a deep breath. Read a chapter from an old favorite story or a new book you can’t wait to try. Take a long sip of coffee or tea. Rest in the peace of a beautiful world filled with wonder and books. (Although, aren’t they basically the same thing?)

Instead of talking about me– which doesn’t sound that interesting– let’s talk about my bookshelves.

  • They hold primarily Christian fiction, clean fiction, childhood classics that I could never part with, and a few non-fiction books sprinkled through.
  • They are organized in color order, so they look like a beautiful rainbow on display all the time.
  • The books they hold are beautiful, but well-loved. A few of the spines are quite cracked– though I try my best to avoid that calamity. A few of the pages have been accidentally bent– though I don’t dog-ear them.
  • They hold tea cups and other small things that add beauty and remind me what a joy it is to be alive, and how much there is to discover.
  • They feel like home, and I love spending time by them, often with a book from them cradled in my hands as I embark on a new adventure or spend time with a beloved old friend.

Now that I’ve introduced you to my bookshelf, let’s get through the other part… the person part.

I am a person.

My name is Keira Anne (spelled with an E, as you might have heard the beloved Anne Shirley herself state, or perhaps you caught onto by the name of my blog). I love reading. I love drinking tea and coffee. I love writing, but only stories, because I do not care much for non-fiction. I love flowers (but only the fake ones, because I’ve yet to be able to keep a plant alive). And, I can’t wait to share bits of my life with you through this blog.

Thanks for being here.

I’m Keira Anne (with an E)

Welcome to my little corner of this great big world wide web– which feels a little scary to type out. Since I’m here, that means I am not reading, which is actually pretty crazy. Now that we’ve acknowledged that anomaly, however, I will go back to reading. Feel free to join me as we discover a world of books!
