Emily doesn’t think there’s anything suspicious about the new guy at the coffee shop where she works… until she finds herself head-over-heels in his spy plot.

This short little book is actually a really fun spy adventure with a lot of humor throughout. We follow our main characters as they try to unravel the plot full of espionage they’re in.

This is the first book in a series of short, clean spy comedies that made me grin and keep reading. They’re nice quick reads, with an engaging plot, fun characters, and just the right amount of romance to make things interesting.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5 stars)

Let me just start off by saying that this is a fun book. If you’re looking for something light, fun, clean, and short, then this might be the spy story for you. It reads fairly simply, and the plot moves quickly, so you can just enjoy all of the sweet little moments.

Our main character has a sense of humor I appreciate, and I like how she narrates things in a way that makes me chuckle. Honestly, the fact that it’s a story about spies where you just laugh the whole time… that’s pretty unique, in my opinion. I also just love how Emily is not a spy, and has no idea what she’s doing, but she’s excited to help out where she can.

And, honestly, the relationship here is really cute. I like their interactions, and I like how they work together. Definitely a good team, and I hope that as the series progresses, we get even more moments of them together. Because, honestly, they are just so cute together, and their bits of banter are so much fun.

I feel like this story kind of reads like a little miniseries, so I like to save them for when I just want to sit down and read through the story really quickly. If I let myself, I would probably binge through the whole series.

This book is also very clean. There’s spy action, but nothing dark or too much in my opinion. I would say it was fine for teen readers, although I could see a lot of people enjoying this of all age groups.

So, yeah. Since it’s pretty short, I’m not going to say much about the plot, because I don’t want to give any spoilers. But, I will say that I recommend this book, and I’m currently still making my way through the series. I believe they’re all available on Kindle Unlimited. With that being said, I’m going to wrap this up with my favorite part…

I’m Keira Anne (with an E)

Welcome to my little corner of this great big world wide web– which feels a little scary to type out. Since I’m here, that means I am not reading, which is actually pretty crazy. Now that we’ve acknowledged that anomaly, however, I will go back to reading. Feel free to join me as we discover a world of books!
